Beach Essentials

August 23rd, 2011 by The Daily Tiara

This past weekend, I had a mini-vacation to the beach. It was much needed after my 10 weeks of summer school. I had such a nice time hanging out with family and relaxing. Every time I go to the beach I always seem to forget something. I did the best I could to make sure I had all of the necessities. Fortunately, I applied sunscreen [SPF 75] all day long and did not get sun burned. Somehow after all of that sunscreen I did manage to get a nice soft tan. I hope you all had a nice weekend!

[The fishtail braid was my go-to this weekend for my day at the beach. It was a cute way to keep my hair from getting tangled up.]

1. Most important item for the beach-SUNSCREEN! I went with SPF 75. Better be safe than sorry.

2. An aftersun lotion usually helps keep your skin moisturized and helps if you get a little burn.

3. A hat is definitely nice to have in order to protect your hair as well as keep your scalp from getting burned.

4. Baby powder is nice to have because it helps get the sand off of you or anything else covered in it. I liked using it on my sandals. The sand came right off. I just washed the baby powder off with some clean water afterwards.

5. It is important to protect your lips as well, so I made sure to keep my lips moisturized with a chapstick that had an SPF in it.

6. Sunglasses were definitely important to have because it protected my eyes as well as keep me from squinting all day long. I used my Marc by Marc Jacobs that I did a post on a while back [here], but I love these Marc by Marc Jacobs that I recently saw.

7. Last but not least, it is very important to stay hydrated. Having clean water with you throughout the day is very important so you do not get dehydrated.

Burberry Watch

August 17th, 2011 by The Daily Tiara

I received this watch a few years ago, but I just love the design of it. It is the perfect watch for summer and although it may not be exactly on trend, I love the white leather and plaid patterned metal. Burberry has such cute watches and I really like the way they incorporate the Burberry plaid print.

{Below are some more updated Burberry watches that I love}

It’s a Jewelry Day

August 16th, 2011 by The Daily Tiara

Yesterday I had a fun day of shopping with my mom. We went into a great store called Francesca’s Collections. They had the cutest clothes and accessories. All of the jewelry and clothing were buy one get one half off so that was a bonus! We fell in love with this cute rhinestone bracelet and ended up buying every color.

{Love this colorful ring}{I think these earrings would go great with my Marc Jacobs handbag, here}{This bracelet was a gift from one of my aunts, it’s style is very identical to the ones above}{Another gift from my aunt which I am VERY excited about. I love this YSL cuff!}

Patiently Waiting

August 15th, 2011 by The Daily Tiara

Last week I went into Ross, which was the first time in a while. I’m not so good with searching through clothes like I wish I was. I always hear about the amazing finds my friends and family have when they go there. I usually do not have such luck, until last week. I walked straight to the shoe section and saw these beautiful tan suede boots instantly. I grabbed my size and never let go until I checked out. I was very pleased with my buy. Especially with the fact that they were only $17! Now it just needs to get cool in Texas, which most likely won’t happen for several months. Until then, I will patiently be waiting.

Geometric Print

August 12th, 2011 by The Daily Tiara

After a quick trip into Forever 21, I found this really cute print skirt. I have been seeing geometric prints all over the place lately and thought I might give it a try. All of the colors are so pretty. The material is really soft and it is very comfortable to wear. It was a great find for $9.80!

Real vs. Deal

August 11th, 2011 by The Daily Tiara

A while back, I did a post on a wrap bracelet that I found at Target, here. It was a great replacement to the original Chan Luu wrap bracelets. A few weeks ago, I went into Club Monaco and found this perfect bracelet that definitely looks similar to the Chan Luu gold vermeil on brown leather wrap bracelet. I was beyond excited. I bought it immediately and have worn it almost every day since. I love when I can find a good deal!

I apologize for the lack of posting lately. I have been so busy with school, but I promise I will be back to my daily postings soon. Last day of class is Tuesday! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Here is a picture of my sweet dog. This was taken a while ago but it just cheers me up every time I look at it!

She Never Lets Me Down…

August 1st, 2011 by The Daily Tiara

This past week has been very busy and I apologize for not posting in a while. Summer school is quickly coming to an end, so I have been stressed and busy studying for my last two exams.

However, I did manage to find some time last weekend to head to the mall. Thanks to my dad, I now own the two Bobbi Brown products that I have been dying to have! The Hydrating Eye Cream is amazing! I absolutely love it. I have been using an under eye moisturizer from Target that I thought worked great until I started using this Bobbi Brown eye cream. It definitely makes a difference. I wish that I could describe exactly what it does, but it just has a way of helping reduce the appearance of bags under the eye.

I recently purchased the Bobbi Brown corrector and creamy concealer kit, which I posted here, so I wanted to get a good brush to apply it. I ended up getting the Bobbi Brown Concealer Brush which works great! I have been so impressed with Bobbi Brown. Her products have been nothing but amazing.

Also, has anyone tried the Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Loose Powder? It says that it is good for people with oily skin, which I have, and if it works with reducing the shine I would like to try it. Thanks!

Hair Must Haves

July 22nd, 2011 by The Daily Tiara

Here are some of my daily hair products that I can not live without. I take these with me whenever I have to travel. They are definitely considered my necessities.

1. Matrix-Biolage Fortifying Leave-in Treatment-I always spray this in my hair right after I get out of the shower. I use it as a detangler and love it. It helps me not rip my hair out when I try to brush/comb through it.

2. John Frieda Frizz-Ease- Absolutely love this stuff. I stopped blow drying my hair when I did not have to and I can not remember the last time I straightened all of my hair. When my hair air drys it tends to get a lot of frizz so this stuff takes it all out! I think that a serum works best when trying to get rid of frizz.

3.  Schwarzkopf Bonacure Repair Sealed Ends- The ends of my hair tend to get really dry and have split ends, which is why I tried to stop straightening and blow drying, so this helps seal and prevent split ends. It definitely has helped reduce the look of split ends in my hair.

4. Umberto Dry Shampoo- This stuff is great when you need to freshen up your hair. It works really well and I seriously can’t go a day without using it!

Chanel Fall 2011

July 21st, 2011 by The Daily Tiara

Chanel’s Fall make up collection is out and I had to go check it out this past weekend. I have been so busy with school that this was the first time I have been able to go shopping in a while. I was planning on getting Graphite, but when I saw Quartz I immediately bought it. I love the metallic shimmer that it has. I already painted my nails with it and the color is amazing! It looks more gray than in the picture, which I really like, but still has that pretty brown hue. It goes well with everything. What do you think of Chanel’s Fall 2011 nail collection?
