This past weekend, I had a mini-vacation to the beach. It was much needed after my 10 weeks of summer school. I had such a nice time hanging out with family and relaxing. Every time I go to the beach I always seem to forget something. I did the best I could to make sure I had all of the necessities. Fortunately, I applied sunscreen [SPF 75] all day long and did not get sun burned. Somehow after all of that sunscreen I did manage to get a nice soft tan. I hope you all had a nice weekend!
[The fishtail braid was my go-to this weekend for my day at the beach. It was a cute way to keep my hair from getting tangled up.]
1. Most important item for the beach-SUNSCREEN! I went with SPF 75. Better be safe than sorry.
2. An aftersun lotion usually helps keep your skin moisturized and helps if you get a little burn.
3. A hat is definitely nice to have in order to protect your hair as well as keep your scalp from getting burned.
4. Baby powder is nice to have because it helps get the sand off of you or anything else covered in it. I liked using it on my sandals. The sand came right off. I just washed the baby powder off with some clean water afterwards.
5. It is important to protect your lips as well, so I made sure to keep my lips moisturized with a chapstick that had an SPF in it.
6. Sunglasses were definitely important to have because it protected my eyes as well as keep me from squinting all day long. I used my Marc by Marc Jacobs that I did a post on a while back [here], but I love these Marc by Marc Jacobs that I recently saw.
7. Last but not least, it is very important to stay hydrated. Having clean water with you throughout the day is very important so you do not get dehydrated.
